A Much Better Place

I remember being outside and it started raining violently and somehow this got written

If you sit in a chair you can hear the sound
Of the rain thundering to the ground
The door is locked and the windows are lached
But though the fireplace you can hear the draft
There's a piano beside you but you coudn't play
For the events that happend were dreadful that day
You saw the face of a girl, a girl you once knew
A girl who once promised that she'd marry you
You saw the shape of her face in a cloud in the sky
You heard her name in a voice in the wind racing by
You hope that she's happy and you hope that she's safe
For wherever she is is a much better place.
