The one so dear
This came from the idea to write directions to somewhere as a poem but I did not want to do it to a real place so I made up this magical place.
Somewhere in a land far, far away
Where the sky is bright and the birds sing in tune
A place to where many have traveled they say
Stands an worn and weathered room
How do you get here? You may ask
Well you're in luck, I'll tell you at last
At the side of the brook, climb into the field
You will hear the sound of ducks from the water
You'll start to dance, like in an old-fashioned reel
Cross the river to make the walk shorter
You'll be standing in a forest of green
Beneath a sunlit sky
It looks like no-one has ever been
Turn to your right and you've arrived
In the small room, you will find
A magical sense comes over you
Your body and the air will entwine
And the magical air will feel true
The air starts to shimmer and there's a blinding light
Then an earthly figure apears
You've been longing to see someone each day and night
Stood before you, is the one so dear
