Ironside's Revenge

Listen here

Verse I
Ironside was a powerful man
On his feet he wore leather, and command and respect on his hands
By all he was known and by all he was feared
But no-one did he fear, except his enemies from old years
They knew who he was and they knew how to know
Just what he would do when his true intentions would show
So they gathered around and plotted a way
To stop Ironside on that bright and beuatiful day

Chorus
And Ironside knew that he must take revenge
On those enemies who were plotting his end
And he feared that they would not yield but defend
When he tried to take Ironside's Revenge

Verse II
So Ironside went with all of his men
To his enemies, who were all waiting there to defend
They fought and they sought after each other's lives
But they didn't think twice about what they would leave behind
He tried for long but his enemies were stronger
Than Ironside was with his men and leather upon
They swung with no dread that he would be dead
And killed Ironside before he could take his revenge

Chorus
And Ironside died 'fore he Could take revenge
On those enimies who had plotted his end
And it's true that they did not yield but defend
When he tried to take Ironside's Revenge
